Liquid metal 3D printing company XJet secures funding from Autodesk's Spark Investment Fund

The Spark Investment Fund recently participated in funding XJet Ltd, creators of patented NanoParticle™ Jetting Technology. This unique process extrudes solid metal nanoparticles suspended in a patented liquid formula, through standard print heads. This eliminates use of the lasers used in traditional sintering or metal powder fusing processes. NanoParticle Jetting Technology can produce high quality metal parts with a high-level of detail (down to ~2 microns), surface finish and accuracy with little or no compromise on speed or build time.

Xjet anticipates exhibiting this technology at the upcoming RAPID 2016 conference in Orlando on May 17, 2016.

Based in Rehovot, Israel, they have more than 50 multidisciplinary R&D specialists and have filed more than 50 registered and pending patents. The $25 million in funding, contributed by Catalyst CEL, Autodesk, and other existing shareholders, will be used to complete the development and launch XJet’s technologies to international markets.
